First Crawl!

Fredrick, 10 months, crawled for the first time today in our new house! We caught the beginning of him scooting around on video, along with his infamous leg kicks. The baby is now mobile - we are in such trouble!

7 Months Have Just Flown By!

I know, we have not kept up this blog AT ALL. I am going to attempt to catch up and keep up with our baby boy as he grows more and more everyday. So, we are going to do a little bit of catch-up...

Fredrick 1-3 Months

Welcome Baby Fredrick Kai!

And he has arrived!!

Fredrick Kai Descher was born on Monday October 18, 2010 at 11:19pm.

He was 6 pounds, 1 ounce and 18.5 inches long

Eager to come into this world, he was 4 weeks early but completely healthy.

He's our little angel!

Pre-Term Labor (7 Weeks to go)

I went into pre-term labor after my baby shower on 9-25-10 with 7 weeks to go. I was 3cm dialated, 70% effaced. After 2 steroid shots to get his lungs developing asap, I was given meds to stop the contractions and ordered on at-home bedrest. So far so good. We are now at 34 weeks and the doc says if he can hang on until at least 36 weeks, he may not have to go to the NICU. I think he's just really eager to come into this world!

26 Weeks and All is Well!

Look at that little face. On our 26-week visit, the doctor was worried by the jump in growth of my belly, which could sometimes mean gestational diabetes or an abnormally large amount of amniotic fluid. We had to go get another ultrasound today to make sure everything was okay in there. Good news, fluid amount looks good, and he's currently 1 pound 15 ounces to 2 pounds, which is normal and right on track. Normality is good. We're just waiting now to see how the glucose test comes back. :)

Our 2-Year Wedding Anniversary

So, our 2 year wedding anniversary has come and gone. This year, we drove to our destination and spent the weekend in Vegas, at the new Aria Resort (which is AWESOME). We saw a couple shows, including the phenominal "O", and ate very, very well. The best part?... The Jean Phillipe Patisserie downstairs in our hotel lobby. We spent some time in pastry heaven, and from our whole vacation, we didn't take one photograph together, but we were sure to take many pictures of the delicious pastries. At least we know our priorities. :)
